Global Stampers May 2018: Feminine/Mother’s Day

Global Stampers Banner

Hi there,

The Global Stampers are back & our theme this month is Feminine/Mother’s Day. I have opted to use products from the Share What You Love Suite that is currently available as special bundles during the early release promotion.

Here’s what I came  up with…

I created a Mother’s Day card as well as a Note Cards set. The Note Cards set is held in the envelope at the back, more details and pictures below. For the card, I created a simple layout that can be adjusted for a birthday card as well. Let’s take a look…

The sentiments on both cards were created using the letters from the Make a Difference set. I love that there are so many different combinations you can create with the images in this set. The font is also very forgiving so you don’t have to be perfect when lining them up. The simple layout is also a great way to show case the gorgeous Specialty Designer Series Paper. This pattern I used has a pearlised finish but is hard to capture on camera.

Now let’s take a look at the note cards set…

All three note cards have a wreath on them and I created them by stamping around a pencil marked 2 1/4″ circle. Let’s have a look at each note card individually…

I stamped the floral image from the Make a Difference set in our Basic Black Archival ink. I coloured in the images with my aqua painter using Rich Razzleberry & Pear Pizzazz inks. TIP: Be sure that your aqua painter is only just damp enough to spread the colour around.

The word friend is from a sentiment in the Love What You Do set, which I stamped using the new Grapefruit Grove In-Color. I then fussy cut out just the word ‘friend’ & adhered using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The new Whisper White Tulle Polka Dot ribbon is so lovely and will be available to customers in June when the 2018 – 2019 catalogue is released. As a demonstrator, we get perks to see and purchase new products early. So if you’d like to enjoy this perk, contact me to find out how you can join my team and become a demonstrator   🙂

Let’s have a look at the next one…

This card was inspired by my friend & Artisan Designer Susan Wong’s card. I used different floral images & sentiment for mine, this is called a CASE (Copy & Selectively Edit). The image used for this wreath was not quite curved enough, so I curved it slightly while placing it on the block. This is one reason why I love the photopolymer stamps, they are flexible enough to bend and makes them more versatile.

I cut my sentiment stamp in half to have them in two lines. This was quite daunting for me at first, but once it was done, I was so pleased! Another benefit of the photopolymer stamps which allows more versatility of your images. You should give it a try one day  🙂

Let’s have a look at the last one…

This card was inspired by Artisan Designer Jessica Winter’s card. Her card was a full sized card, so again I had to change things up to fit it on my note card. The sentiment was stamped on a small label from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.

The flowers are fussy cut from the Specialty DSP. I love the DSP as it’s so versatile & is slightly thicker than our regular DSP & is great for creating 3D items. The little metal flower is also from the Embellishment Kit & has an adhesive backing, making it so easy to attach to your projects. The Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon feels really soft & luxurious.

The envelope that holds the note cards is a one sheet wonder with two pockets. There are no adhesives required for creating it & you can find the instructions on Jan B Cards’ YouTube video.

I hope you enjoyed these projects today & they’ve inspired you take advantage of the early release bundles. There are also discounted/FREE products within each bundle as well.
