Global Stampers Dec 2017: Colour Challenge – Blue, Grey & Silver

Global Stampers Banner

Hi there,

Welcome to the Global Stampers’ final hop for 2017! This month we’ve got a colour challenge – blue, grey & silver.

Here’s what I came up with…

GSDEC2017 Cheers to the Year 3 ways

I used only one stamp set & one layout but produced 3 cards for different occasions. Shall we have a closer look at them?

Here’s the first one, it had to be a Christmas card of course as we’ve only got 22 more sleeps till Christmas!

If you haven’t finished your Christmas cards yet then this should be pretty easy to mass produce. It’s some quick stamping of the snowflakes finished off with silver embossing. I clear embossed with colour for the circle image but you could skip that part if you’re short on time  🙂

Next up is the New Year card, which can be used for the upcoming New Year celebrations or as a birthday card…

I coloured in the clear enamel stars with the light Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. The silver doily is actually one of our white doilies, which I embossed with silver emboss powder.

We’re in the peak of wedding season in NZ now so of course I had to have a wedding card too. But the sentiment is also useful as a congratulatory card for any milestone achievements such as graduations, new job or even a new baby…

Again, I did the same thing to the enamel hearts & the doily. A tip when colouring in the enamel shapes, make sure to colour them while they’re still attached to the plastic they came on & give them a minute or so to dry. This is so you don’t accidentally transfer any wet ink to your project while you’re working out exactly where to place them.

As for the doily, they will curl slightly after being embossed. Just place an acrylic block on top once it’s cooled down to flatten them before placing it onto your project.

I hope you enjoyed these projects today & they’ve inspired you with your Christmas & other projects.

Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t forget to hop along and check out the rest of the projects the other amazing Global Stampers have for you this month.

  1. I really like how you have used the single stamp set to create three different cards for different occasions. It is such a simple stamp but with so much potential. Love your cards and the colour combination.
