Global Stampers May 2017: 2017 – 2019 New In-Colors Sneak Peek

Hi there,

The Global Stampers are back. We’re a week later than usual but we decided to skip our April post and switch things up a little. Our posts will now go live on the first Sunday of each month which will help us tie in better with our catalogues and promotions.

So for this month, we thought we’d give you a sneak peek at the upcoming 2017 – 2019 In-Color collection from the 2017 – 2018 Annual Catalogue releasing on 1 June 2017. Some of us will be giving you a sneak peek on the new Eastern Palace Suite. This suite is available to purchase as two exclusive bundles from 1 – 31 May 2017. Contact me if you would like to purchase the special bundle.

Here are my projects…

GSMay2017 2017-2019 In-Colors

I love making note card sets to showcase the In-Colors and thought this sentiment from the Big on Birthdays set would make a great focal sentiment. The sentiment is coloured using the individual In-Color Stampin’ Write marker & the background and stars use the contrast colours.

Let’s take a closer look at each individual colour. First we have Berry Burst…

GSMay2017 Berry Burst

The colours from left to right – Sweet Sugarplum, Berry Burst & Rich Razzleberry. Berry Burst is more of a pinky purple and really does look like fresh squeezed berry juice  🙂

Next we have Fresh Fig…

GSMay2017 Fresh Fig

The colours from left to right – Melon Mambo, Rose Red, Fresh Fig. Fresh Fig is a very deep purple but as you can see matches quite nicely with the deep pinks.

Next we have Lemon Lime Twist…

GSMay2017 Lemon Lime Twist

The colours from left to right – Pear Pizzazz, Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive. Lemon Lime Twist is a very bright neon colour & really fun to play with. I have another project further down this post using this fun colour.

Next we have Powder Pink…

GSMay2017 Powder Pink

The colours from left to right – Pink Pirouette, Powder Pink, Blushing Bride. This new pink fits perfectly in between our two existing subtle pinks & is great for those cute baby cards.

Next we have Tranquil Tide…

GSMay2017 Tranquil Tide

The colours from left to right – Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Tranquil Tide. This colour is a deep blue green that looks different when paired with a blue or green shade.

The colour combinations were courtesy of Kelly Kent from My Paper Adventures and you can see her projects made using these same colours here.

I created some cards with three of these In-Colors to show you how well they coordinate with our existing colours. So let’s take a look…

GSMAY2017 Big on Birthdays

The Big on Birthdays stamp set is definitely a hit with me. I love all the large sentiments as they fill up a card front with minimal effort, which makes for quick and easy cards  🙂

The sentiment on these cards were inked with the new In-Colors. The balloon uses the generational stamping technique and I love the random textures you get with the solid photopolymer when using this technique. It definitely makes the image look more realistic, like when a balloon reflects light.

The cards were CASED from Emma Goddard’s version which used the same sentiment but with the Balloon Adventures stamp set. I didn’t have that set but had Balloon Celebrations so used that and hand drew my balloon tails instead.  You can see her project here.

Let’s take a closer look at each colour combination. First we have Berry Burst…

GSMAY2017 Big on Birthdays Berry Burst

The card base is Real Red while the balloons are Peekaboo Peach. The Real Red brings out the pink and purple shades of the Berry Burst when viewed in different light.

Next we have Tranquil Tide…

GSMAY2017 Big on Birthdays Tranquil Tide

The card base is Bermuda Bay and the balloons are Island Indigo. The Tranquil Tide sentiment looks greener next to the Bermuda Bay cardstock. I’ll definitely be pairing it with another colour to see what it looks like.

Lastly, we have Lemon Lime Twist…

The card base is Old Olive and the balloons are Real Red. I love how fun & bright this combination is and that’s really odd for me as those who know me well, know that I’m a subtles girl at heart. But guess what?! This combination is my favourite of the three!  🙂

I hope you enjoyed my projects today. Thanks for dropping by and be sure to stop by again later in the week. I’ll be posting the amazing projects by the other talented Global Stampers then.

Until next time, happy stamping!  🙂
