Global Stampers July 2016: 2016-2018 In-Colours

Hi there,

I have joined a group of international Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world and we’re known as the Global Stampers.

We will be doing a monthly blog post to share our creations using Stampin’ Up! products. This is our first month & we are featuring the new 2016 – 2018 In-Colours.

There are currently five of us in the group – Robbie Rubala (USA), Valérie Perlin (France), Fiona Whitten (UK), Ann Lewis (Australia) & myself (New Zealand). We decided to feature the 2016-2018 In-Colours for our first monthly blog post. I opted to feature all the In-Colours as I had planned to use this as an opportunity to create my monthly thank you notes.

Here’s how the posts will work – I post my projects today, then I will post one project a day from the other lovely ladies over the rest of the week. So you’ll need to come back each day to check out the amazing projects.

So, without further ado, I present you with my July thank you notes, featuring the 2016 – 2018 In-Colours…

All the images on the cards are stamped using each of the individual In-Colours. The floral border image was stamped off once before stamping onto the circle. The circle pieces & the edges of the cards were sponged with the individual In-Colours too. Two of the banners are comparison colours I chose to use with the In-Colours.

Let’s have a look at each of the colours individually as I want to tell you about the comparison colours I used. First, we have Dapper Denim, which I think fits with our Regals collection.

Dapper Denim is on the left, with Pacific Point in the middle & Tempting Turquoise on the right. I like how much deeper the blue is in Dapper Denim but not too dark when compared to the brighter Pacific Point & bright pastel blue of Tempting Turquoise.

Next we have Emerald Envy, which fits well with either our Brights or Regals collection.

On the left we have Cucumber Crush, Emerald Envy in the middle & Bermuda Bay on the right. Cucumber Crush is very bright and has a slightly limey green tinge while Bermuda Bay is tinged with a bit of blue. I love how Emerald Envy is a nice bright grassy green.

Next up is Flirty Flamingo, a cute pink that fits well with either our Brights or Subtles collection.

Calypso Coral sits on the left of Flirty Flamingo while Blushing Bride sits on its right. As you can see, Calypso Coral has an orange tinge and Blushing Bride is a soft pink. These colours help show off the brightness of the pink in Flirty Flamingo. I’m not normally a bright pink kinda girl but I do like the hint of pastel coming from this pink.

Now onto Peekaboo Peach, a pastel orange which fits perfectly with our Subtles collection.

I have compared Peekaboo Peach (right) with Tangerine Tango (left) & Pumpkin Pie (middle). Tangerine Tango is a darker orange while I find Pumpkin Pie to be a brighter orange. When placed next to these colours, you can see the tinge of yellow in Peekaboo Peach. I love this addition of a pastel orange to our colour collections.

Last but definitely not the least, we have Sweet Sugarplum. This pastel purple also fits perfectly with our Subtles collection.

I have paired Sweet Sugarplum (middle) with Rich Razzleberry (left) and Blushing Bride (right) to show you where this colour sits in the purple spectrum. Rich Razzleberry is a deep rich purple while Blushing Bride is a soft pastel pink. These colours bring out the pink tinge in Sweet Sugarplum making it a pinky purple.

Now that you have seen all the new In-Colours, which is your favourite? I would love to know about yours and why you love it in the comments. I love them all but I think mine will have to be Sweet Sugarplum.

Don’t forget, I’ll be posting the other fabulous creations that Robbie, Kelly, Valérie, Fiona & Ann has made using the In-Colours, one per day, over this coming week. So pop back each day to check them out and head over to their pages to give them some love if you like what you see.

Thanks so much for popping by today. Until next time, happy stamping!   🙂

I love these cards Alicia. They are simple, yet very effective! My fave is the Daper Denim card. It’s great to see how the In-Colours pair with the ranges of paper available.

These cards are a great way to show off the new In Colors. Still can’t decide which is my favourite. it’s a close thing between Dapper Denim and Sweet Sugarplum.
