Beautiful Ride 60th Birthday

Hi all,

I had someone else celebrate a 60th birthday in February. This time it was for a friend who loves VW Beetles. So, I knew her birthday card had to feature the VW Beetle stamp in Beautiful Ride. Here’s what the card looks like…

Beautiful Ride Birthday

She drives a minty green VW Beetle so I stamped the image in our Archival Gray onto Mint Macaron cardstock & watercoloured using Mint Macaron as well. She also has a Bichon Frise cross so the little dog image from the same set was the perfect passenger.

Here’s a close up of the VW Beetle…

Did you notice that the door opens? I cut along the door outline on 3 sides for a little surprise message. Here’s what it looks like with the door open…

A simple message behind the door to make the card extra special. The sky was made using a punch out of the cloud from the Tree Builder punch and sponged around it with Soft Sky ink. It’s hard to see in the photo but I brushed over the tyre mags & the puppy’s collar with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter brush for a touch of shine.

I hope you enjoyed this card. My friend loved it and was very happy to receive it. Thanks for stopping by today.

Until next time, happy stamping!    🙂
