Balloon Builders Invitation

Hi there,

It’s been a busy month with my newborn and at the time of my last post, we didn’t have a name for her yet. I can now say that we have called her Esmé  🙂

As part of our Chinese tradition, we have a Full Moon Party when baby is a month old. This celebration is similar to the baby showers that you would normally have before baby is born. And of course I had to create the party invitations!

I was calling Esmé my lil’ Peanut when I was pregnant with her. And my older daughter Ella had chosen a lil Elephant blankie present for Esmé. I wanted an elephant image on the invitations. So, I knew the awesome new Balloon Builders stamp set would be perfect. The combinations are endless with this set!

Here’s what I came up with…

Balloon Builders Elephant Party Invite

I had seen this balloon elephant image on a sample at the OnStage event that I attended last year. I thought it was the perfect image for my invitations  🙂

I used the “Let Us” sentiment from the Balloon Celebrations set & the “Party” was from a sentiment in the Balloon Builders set. I coloured them with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to get my custom sentiment!

Here’s what the inside looked like…

This is a pop-up card & the balloon elephant sits on a hinge. Here’s a side view of the hinge…

A basic hinge gives you added dimension & creates a fun interactive card – quick & easy just the way I like it!

I hope you enjoyed my card today. I’ve got a couple more creations using the Balloon Builders stamp set to show you. So, make sure you come back to check them out in future posts.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time, happy stamping!   🙂
